Case 1: Discovery of a novel virus in terrestrial arthropods highlights the diversity of single-stranded DNA viruses
In this study, the authors sequenced viruses from terrestrial arthropods and obtained their genomic information. Through phylogenetic analysis, they demonstrated the evolution and diversity of the viruses. Subsequent analyses revealed that most known CRESS DNA viruses were widely distributed in invertebrates, reflecting their ancient evolutionary history and highlighting the importance of further researches.
